Monday Catch Up

Hi friends!

I hope you all had a great weekend! Did you do anything fun?? My weekend consisted of…

Friday – I attended a wedding  🙂 ! It was very cold and rainy for a barn/rustic wedding but I am very happy for the couple. Yayyy.

Saturday – Thank goodness was warmer, let’s see…I woke up to a text from Caterpillar (for another day) and did some adult things! I got my car serviced so she is happy and filled with new fluids now and can quit flashing the service light at me – yeeessssh so needy. This also took about 2 damn hours, the next place I go to will be beside a bar or restaurant… Just saying.

I started going down hill later in the evening and I think it was because of my Friday night continuous jitterbug dance (aka: shivering). I could see my breath in the wedding venue, I just want that to be noted. The beer did not help matters, perhaps a hot toddy should have been the “featured drink.” Ah, Ohio weather, you really know how to mess up plans.

Anyway, so I rested the rest of the evening and watched some Netflix as usual with the puppers. Then I really started going down hill – again. I have  mentioned my battle with the raging allergies and pollen over the past few weeks and I have a suspicion that all the congestion has progressed into an infection. I have finally decided that I am going to the clinic to get checked out since well… I am part zombie at the moment. I hope they can help a girl out.

Sunday – I literally slept all day. I would wake up to take my meds, re-adjust my blankets/pillows/dogs and to grab some crackers. That was about it my friends. I needed to work in the flower beds but….it just did not happen. Maybe next weekend? After I obtain a sexy respirator/mask to help with the allergens.

Instagram Mental Health Challenge Update – In my Mental Health Awareness post, I mentioned that I signed up for Kenzie Brenna’s “Self Love Boot-Camp.” We are given a daily post challenge to help promote mental health awareness. So far, I think it has been good for me and many others. I hate “having” to post something on Insta every day, but it does help promote thought and build such a great community. I have been contacted by a couple other “bootcampers” if you will during this process and the love and support that comes from these strong individuals is incredible.

Many have multiple mental health issues and are still fighting today. If you have the chance, please check out the hashtag #selflovebootcamp on Insta and read some of these amazing stories, add a comment of support, repost something you love or facts  – I am sure the participants would love it :). Keep spreading the word my friends!

I hope to hear from all of you and your weekend fun!

xoxo,

I hope you feel better soon! Have you ever tried a salt lamp in your home? My allergies and my asthma were ridiculous last year and some of my friends kept telling me that salt lamps helped them- sure enough- I bought one for my bedroom and they have drastically reduced! Anyway- it’s an idea if you haven’t heard of that option yet. (Note though- you have to buy a real one- so you have to research them before you purchase) I had a busy weekend- I am trying to put my house back together today- Me thinks I took on too much in terms of ‘Spring Cleaning and Reorganization’ ….I am really noticing my husbands absence right now. It turns out- he actually did do a ‘few’ things around here…. LOL Feel better! 🙂

Hi Irene! I have not tried the lamps! I do not know too much about them but it sounds AMAZING. I will start my research into them 🙏🏻 thank you for the tip!

Did you get the house back together!? I feel like that is the constant state of mine 😂😂. Always a mess! When do you get to see your husband again!? Maybe he can help out soon too!

I really need to get back into my blog schedule! Sorry for the delay, I have been doing well, thank you for asking. I am still suffering from these sinuses but think that I found a good salt lamp – YES!

I want to hear what’s been happening with Caterpillar! Also, such a bummer it was raining during the wedding. That’s such a burden on the poor bride and groom!

Hi Natalie!!!! It was such a bummer for the couple but they have been together 10 years now – I don’t think anything would have dampened… The night? She was so happy to finally have it done!

I will definitely catch you up on Caterpillar – thank you for asking! As soon as I get off this bumpy busride 😷. Nothing worse than bus sick! Would you like to share your email and I can send you an update there if you want! ♥️♥️♥️♥️

I absolutely hate being cold so that wedding sounds like it would have turned me into the unhappiest munchkin. I hope you feel better soon and Caterpillar isn’t still acting like a PushMePullYou!

I’m so sorry you’re feeling so bad, love. I hope you get better soon. Poor you for attending a Frozen themed wedding hahaha I’m joking but poor couple. Imagine working so hard on something for so long and then have all the guests leave commenting on how cold they were and getting sick. I hope they have a warm and happy life together. We did the exact same thing on Saturday, mostly. Rui does the all of the work regarding the car, no need to go to the shop. He just buys the fluid thingies and filters and whatever he needs to change and goes to town. It saves us a lot of money. We (he lol) did it at a friend’s house, because they have a huge garage and very nice tools lol We then spent the whole day with them, having lunch, talking. It was a nice day, but exhausting for me. As you know, I get super tired of being around people all day. And then on Sunday it was Mother’s day and I had to spend all day with family and all the drama that comes with it. On Sunday night, Rui and I were so exhausted we had a huge fight over a serving bowl. hahahaha Sorry for the super long comment. Love you!!! Feel better soon, gorgeous!!

Thank you for the well wishes lovely! It was definitely a “frozen” wedding 😂😂😂. Well done!

I wish I knew more about cars… Sigh. I just spend a fortune (you’re right! You are saving a ton!) And they know that they charge too… Jerks! It sounds like you had a lovely time with the friends though and family (??), before the social hangover set it. I know all about that too love. It’s best to take sometime to recharge after 😘. Ah solitude – so nice lol.

Girl – exhausted fights are so funny. Damn that serving bowl! It happens and always over the silliest thing 😂. I hope you both are all better now ♥️. I loved the log comment oh how I missed you!

Talk again soon my love! ♥️♥️♥️
